Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee beans is under the arabica species. While the Ethiopia Yirgacheff Konga coffee bean came from the local community Konga, which is a first grade organization under the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (YCFCU) According to YCFCU, Konga Cooperative now has 4 kebeles (small local farmers association), Seda, Wote, Birbis and Kella, there's around 1,556 individual members in the community. This cooperative is about 4 kilometers south of the town of Yirgacheffe, Their farms are located at altitude 1750-2300m, with red brown soil and the help of 1400-1800 mm rainfall annually, Konga is able to produce 16 containers of coffee beans that carry strong citrus, peach and apricot flavours each year. Their beans even combines with dried cherry, cranberry acidity if natural processed.
With the help of YCFCU, Konga coffee beans are Fairtrade and Organic certificated.
