What is Specialty Coffee (S.O.)

We are professional barista yet specialty in roasting and design. The coffee beans we sell are never beans you could commonly found in Hong Kong. We are not talking about the origins nor roasting level only, but the quality. We sell S.O. beans and S.O. beans ONLY.

S.O. is the short term of "Specialty coffee" which this term was first used in 1974 to describe beans of the best flavor which Specialty coffee is different from "gourmet" or "premium" coffee, which it's not just marketing terms with no defined standards but carefully picked and graded by professionals to ensure the quality reaches the standard. Which means these are beans scoring 80 points or above on a 100 point scale by the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA). According to record, these beans share only 1%-20% in the coffee market.
